This policy explains how Business Mantra Group (“we”, “us”) handles personal information that we collect through this website and when you contact us. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988.
Business Mantra Group is made up of seven separate businesses. Each business is responsible for the services it provides and for the information it holds about its own clients. When you become a client of one of the businesses, its own privacy policy and engagement terms also apply.
What information we collect
We only collect the information we need to answer your enquiry and to put you in touch with the right business. This may include:
- your name, email address and phone number
- where you are based, and when and how you would like us to contact you (phone, email or WhatsApp)
- what you need help with, your answers to the questions on our enquiry form and anything else you choose to tell us
- the choices you make on the form, such as agreeing to share your enquiry with a business or to receive updates
Please don’t send us tax file numbers, passport numbers or health information through this website. If a business needs information like this, it will ask you for it in a secure way when you become a client.
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you: when you fill in a form on this website, call us, write to us or visit one of our offices. If you are already a client of one of the businesses, that business may also share information with us so we can help you.
Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information, such as your IP address, your browser type and the pages you visit. This helps keep the website secure and working. When you send an enquiry, we also keep a coded version of your IP address for 10 minutes to stop the forms being misused.
Information sent outside Australia
Red Earth Migration has an office in Noida (Delhi NCR), India. If you ask for help with visas or migration, staff in that office may see your enquiry. Some of the service providers who host this website or send our email may also store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure anyone who receives your information outside Australia protects it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Marketing messages
We only send you updates and insights if you ask for them, for example by ticking the box on our enquiry form. Every message will say who it is from and include an easy way to unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, we will stop within five working days.
Decisions made by computer
Our enquiry form suggests which business should receive your enquiry, based on the needs you choose. A person in that business then reads your enquiry and responds. We don’t make decisions that significantly affect you using a computer program alone.
How we keep it secure
We keep enquiries in a password-protected system that only the people who deal with them can open. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy and for our records. Then we delete it, or remove anything that identifies you.
If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm to you, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires. We will also explain what you can do to protect yourself.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it or delete it. We may need to check who you are first. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If we can’t give you access or make a correction, we will tell you why in writing.
Making a complaint
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below. We will look into your complaint and respond in writing, usually within 30 days.
If you are not happy with our response, or we haven’t responded within 30 days, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Complaints to the OAIC must be in writing:
