How it works
Assessment
A Registered Migration Agent reviews your occupation, qualifications, experience and points.
Skills assessment and expression of interest
You apply for a skills assessment, then lodge an expression of interest.

If you are invited, your visa application is prepared and lodged with the Department of Home Affairs.
Decision

Good to know
Only registered agents can help with visas
It is against the law for anyone who is not a registered migration agent or an Australian lawyer to give immigration assistance. You can check an agent on the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) register.
Some skilled visas have closed
The Skilled Recognised Graduate visa (476) closed to new applications in July 2024. Rules, occupation lists and fees change often, so your options are checked against the current rules.
